Interactive Chemical Bonding Simulator

⚛ Chemical Bonding Simulator

Build selected ionic compounds by electron transfer and selected covalent molecules by electron sharing. The animation is a visual model of valence electrons—not a scale model of atomic size.

Ionic compound builder

The simulator balances charges automatically. It shows the smallest whole-number ratio of ions. For example, Mg²⁺ needs two Cl⁻ ions, so the formula is MgCl₂.

Stage 1: A metal atom loses valence electron(s). Stage 2: The electron(s) transfer to a non-metal atom. Stage 3: Oppositely charged ions attract. Ionic bonding is the electrostatic attraction after ions form. No quiz included.
